I am getting back into a game that i have put on the side for a while now. I have been bowling on only 1 league for the past few years, and my adjustment game has suffered. I have become a "house bowler" which is something i hate.  Adjusting used to be a huge part of my game and this year i have the time to join 4 leagues and am excited to bowl at different centers and make my adjustment game strong.
I also have new bowling balls... and haven't had a new one in over 2 years.  I am currently trying to get used to them, but that is a work in progress.  But, learning what they do is going to make me a stronger bowler as well and develop my game accross the lane. 
I am excited to learn to bowl again, even though i can't complain too much because i am still bowling well.  I just can't wait til i again begin to know what my ball is going to do and feel the ball get a strike as a let it go (does anyone get that feeling?)

So this year I am bowling 3 leagues.  I can now since I got a new job that is m-f 9-5.  So, I will be bowling on a fun mixed league with friends on Mondays, a more serious trio league with the girls i have been bowling with, and then an every other saturday fun league with friends.  Of course my friends found out my new job would allow me to be available and they picked me up. It will be fun, and that is the first most improtant thing about bowling to me!!

I can't wait for bowling to start.  I subbed a couple weeks ago for a Sunday league and will be subbing again this sunday.  We will see how I do... I hope all goes well.

I am getting two new balls.  The jerk I was with left me a bunch of bowling balls (like 15 of them) and I took them into the shop to get store credit, and I am getting 2 new balls.  Bowler's Aid Pro Shop is AWESOME!!!

How is everyone else feeling about the new season starting?

Man, my bowling is horrible.  It probably doesn't help that I didn't bowl all last summer due to getting a job as a flight attendant.  And now I never ever practice and I am lucky if I get to bowl on my league every week.  But, I am still averaging over 200 so i shouldn't be too unhappy. 

 I just can't make spares for the life of me.  And, I have no clue what my ball is doing or how to fix it when it's not doing what i want it to.  I am not comfortable with my equipment lately at all or anything about my bowling. I should go out and practice.  I am going to try and go Tuesday... we will see.

Life in general is okay.  Got a job, not a great one. If anyone knows anyone that is hiring for anything let me know!!
 

Bowling: not so great either.  Nothing too bad for me.  Yeah my average is back down to a 208 but i haven't bowled tremendously bad the past couple of weeks.  But, I don't get my normal "feel" when i have been bowling lately.  When I am bowling good i feel it when my hand is in the ball and I release it down the lane, i just know!! But, that hasn't been happening.  Every frame that i bowl I am questioning something.  Almost like I have no idea how the ball is going to roll and I can no longer find my line.  Hmmmm... anyone get in a rut like this?  What do you do to get out of it?  Last time I was in one, I took a couple weeks off, and it worked.  But, i can't do that (a girl on our team is injured) so I need some ideas to break this lack of comfort within!!

So, I have been bowling really awesome lately.  I am carrying a 210 and haven't shot under 650 in the last 5-6 weeks of bowling.  HOwever, I bowl once a week, I don't throw practice (superstition lately), and my stuff stays in the cold-ass car all week-- So my stuff is frozen.

Because I do nothing that everyone tells you to do (bowl often, practice, and keep your stuff out of the cold) and I am still bowling awesome. 

My man tells everyone that i am bowling really well but i do all these bad things and it's disgusting.  But, i think if you throw the ball the way you need to with what you have.. be able to read the lanes and the ball at the same time you can bowl no matter what!!
