Sorry to hear about you losing your job, jules. The same thing will happen to me on February 28th. Since the prison I work at cannot get a contract with any state (private prison), they are shutting down and laying off all the workers. No severance pay either due to a little thing they call the WARN Act. These idiots tried to get a larger per diem from their present contract owners and when they didn't get it, told them to get their inmates out so they can secure another contract from another state. Pretty much, they jumped without a parachute and who gets to break the fall? The workers at the prison, while the corporation gets to keep their cushy jobs and salaries.



Sorry for the rant, but I had to vent a little.
